Wedding Photography
We've all seen the posed formal portraits of our grandparents wedding day --
beautiful black and white (or sepia) images of the bride and groom and
combinations of bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, siblings,
sometimes full of posed smiles but often lacking emotion. David enjoys
photographing in a photojournalistic style with available lighting -- capturing
the day's events and emotion with the eye of an unimposing observer rather than
that of a director dictating where to stand and how to look. Even the "posed"
formals are casual and relaxed and try to capture people within their
environment and the unexpected impulsive actions that can't be captured with a
camera fixed to a tripod. With more emphasis on candid and spontaneous moments
and a de-emphasis on static portraiture, this documentary approach can yield a
veritable explosion of images for you to choose from.
